Q. Why Volunteer?
A. It's fun! You'll meet a lot of really cool people and make friends!
Q. How many volunteers are needed?
A. More then we can post! Get your friends to volunteer with you.
Q. How much will I have to work?
A. We ask that you give 4 or more hours of your time. Not all at once. You can spread it over the weekend.
Q. Can I do less then the required 4 hours?
A. Yes you can if you have paid the full registration fee. If you have chosen to pay the volunteering fee you are required to work 4 hours. These hours can be spread over the event. There are some pre-event and post event positions.
Q. How long is a shift?
A. Shifts vary with the department and related duties.
Q. Can I work double or more than the required hours and get my Master/Mistress the discounted rate?
A. No. While we can understand your desire to do all that you can for those whom you serve, the discount goes only to those who volunteer their time.
Q. What if I am new to the community?
A. This is the time to get out there and volunteer. This is your opportunity to be part of the behind-the-scenes teamwork that creates a large SM/Leather/Fetish event. You'll make connections!
Q. What if I am unable to pay the volunteer fee?
A. Team Odyssey has a limited amount of scholarship funds available. Please ask the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@folsomfringe.com about them and any questions you might have.
Q. How do I know if I got what I asked for through RegOnline volunteer system?
A. You will receive an email confirming what Area and Position and hours you will be working.
Q. How do I tell what my volunteer discount rate will be?
A. You will receive an email telling you how many hours and what credit you will receive towards the package Fee.
Q. Do I need experience?
A. Nope! Experience is not a requirement for lending a helping hand. We ask that you be on time and do your best.
Q. I have a handicap. Can I volunteer?
A. Yes you can. We can try to find positions that best fits with your abilities.
Q. How any meetings do I have to attend?
A. Each department has it's own agenda and meeting schedules. Most don't host meetings but do contact via email. Ask your lead when you sign-up.
Q. Can you volunteer before the event?
A. There are a few of these positions. They are on a first come first served bases. Email volunteers@folsomfringe.com with your inquiry.
